Post 9/11 GIBILL information

VA education annual benefits are from August 1st to July 31st and based on when the term starts.

Chapter 33 students are required to verify attendance each month in order to get their Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) payment. Failure to certify will delay your payment.

Please visit

The University of Pikeville is a Yellow Ribbon participating school. The Yellow Ribbon Program will cover up to 10 KYCO/KYCOM students per year up to $5000/year with a matching payment from the VA.

Undergraduate and Master degree (MSW, MBA, TLP) programs’ tuition is low enough that these students will not to use the Yellow Ribbon Program. https://www.va.gov/education/yellow-ribbon-participating-schools/

The GI Bill Comparison Tool is expected to reflect participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program for the 2023-24 academic year late June or early July.  School participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program for the 2023-24 academic year will not be reflected on VA’s website until then.
