In cooperation with the guidelines announced Wednesday, November 18,from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, the University of Pikeville will transition to virtuallearning on Monday, November 23, for most undergraduate students. Since the university had planned to finish the remainder of the semester virtually after Thanksgiving, UPIKE will beginthe transition only a few days earlier than expected.“Our faculty and staff have been preparing to transition to virtual learning since last summer andare well equipped to continue working with students through our Hyflex learning model,” saidUPIKE President Burton Webb, Ph.D. “UPIKE stands ready to do our part to keep ourcommunity safe. Although many things have changed in the wake of COVID-19, our core valueof service to others remains steadfast.”With months of preparation, UPIKE has virtual support services available to students duringremote learning as well as access to advisors, faculty and coaches.
