You have a variety of residential communities to choose from. Explore each unique living experience below.
Condit Hall is home to roughly 70 female first-year residents, four Resident Assistants and one University of Pikeville Professional Staff member. Condit Hall has community style bathrooms on all floors. The first-floor common room has couches, tables and chairs. On the second floor, you will find the free laundry room available for all residents.
The Campus Safety Office is located in the basement of the building. Condit Hall can only be accessed with a UPIKE ID card by residents who live within Condit Hall and Derriana Hall. Condit Hall is within walking distance of the City View Café, Chick-fil-A, Einstein Brothers Bagels, POD Market, campus learning spaces, Wickham Student Lounge and Allara Library.
Condit Hall is also a 10-minute walk from the Academy Building, Hoops Athletic Facility, the UPIKE Gymnasium and downtown Pikeville.
Derriana Hall is home to roughly 74 first-year and upper division female residents and three Resident Assistants. Derriana Hall features Jack and Jill suites conjoined by a bathroom on all floors. Most residents of Derriana Hall will gather in one of the two common rooms. Common rooms include couches, tables and chairs.
The free laundry room is located on the first floor. Derriana Hall can only be accessed by UPIKE ID cards of the residents who live within Condit and Derriana Halls. Derriana Hall is a short walk from the City View Café, Chick-fil-A, Einstein Brothers Bagels, POD Market, campus learning spaces, Wickham Student Lounge and Allara Library.
Derriana Hall is also a 10-minute walk from the Academy Building, Hoops Athletic Facility, the UPIKE Gymnasium and downtown Pikeville.
Typical Room Layout:
Wickham Hall is home to roughly 142 male first-year residents and six Resident Assistants. Wickham Hall has community bathrooms on all floors. Most residents of Wickham Hall gather in the common rooms found on the second and third floor or the Student Lounge on the ground level.
The common rooms have couches, tables, chairs and televisions. On the first floor, you will find the laundry room which is free for all residents. Wickham Hall is within a few minutes of the City View Café, Chick-fil-A, Einstein Brothers Bagels, POD Market, campus learning spaces, Wickham Student Lounge and Allara Library.
Wickham Hall is also a 10-minute walk from the Academy Building, Hoops Athletic Facility, the UPIKE Gymnasium and downtown Pikeville.
College Square is a co-ed living space primarily for juniors and seniors located adjacent to some of UPIKE’s athletic facilities. Rooms are suite style and can accommodate four to six residents.
College Square can accommodate approximately 55 residents, three Resident Assistants and two live-in professional staff members. Each suite has a living room space, a small kitchenette with cabinet space, a full-size refrigerator and a shared bathroom.
Kinzer Hall is a co-ed residence hall located just off Hambley Boulevard and is home to primarily juniors and seniors. All rooms are suite style and accommodate four to eight residents.
Kinzer Hall can accommodate up to 99 residents, five Resident Assistants and one professional live-in staff member. Each suite has a living room space, kitchenette with cabinet space, a small fridge, microwave and a shared bathroom.
Kinzer Hall is a short walk from the Coleman College of Business and some of UPIKE’s athletic facilities.
Page Hall is a suite-style co-ed by suite residence hall. Each suite houses eight students in four bedrooms with a central common room, a community restroom with two showers and two restrooms.
There are free laundry rooms on each floor. Page Hall has outdoor balconies that lead to suites on each floor and is accessible only by staircase. The ground floor has a lounge with a ping-pong table, comfortable seating and a television.
Just outside of Page Hall there is a basketball court with a fire pit used for student events. Page Hall accommodates 144 residents, six Resident Assistants and one live-in professional staff member.
Spilman Hall is a suite-style co-ed residence hall with three to five residents per suite. Each suite has two to three bedrooms, a kitchenette and a full community bathroom. The ground floor has one-bedroom suites that accommodate two students each.
There is a free laundry room on the second floor and a shared outdoor basketball court and fire pit with Page Hall. Spilman Hall can accommodate approximately 48 residents, three Resident Assistants and one live-in professional staff member.
Gillespie Hall serves as Honors Housing at UPIKE and is home to 19 first-year students, one Resident Assistant and one faculty in residence. Gillespie Hall is comprised of Jack and Jill suites with conjoining bathrooms.
Gillespie Hall is equipped with a large common room for studying, access to printing, a kitchenette with cabinet space, sink, refrigerator and guest bathroom on the first floor.
South Hall is located approximately three miles from UPIKE’s campus. South Hall provides apartment-style housing for graduate and health professions students and one professional live-in staff member.
Each apartment is furnished with either a twin or full-size bed, dresser, desk, armoire, internet, cable, a kitchenette and a free laundry room. Both one-bedroom and studio style apartments are available.
Affinity Housing promotes a community with shared interests in a residential setting. Students who choose to be a member of affinity housing will have the opportunity to develop a residential community that encompasses academics, leadership and/or personal interests.
Affinity Housing may be comprised of members of student organizations, athletic teams, students within the same major, or a group of friends with similar interests. Groups will set annual goals for programming and outreach consistent with the mission and purpose of the community. Communities will also maintain a close relationship with the Office of Residence Life by meeting once per semester.
Selected residents will live in Page Hall with newly renovated bathrooms and will be guaranteed an entire suite and placed in rooms prior to the start of the housing selection process.

Should a student or group violate any of the above expectations, the individual or group will be disbanded and housing will be reassigned by the Director of Residence Life.
Criteria for Selection
Selected groups will be notified of placement in their selection notification. Selected groups are not permitted to decline their placement.
