UPIKE to Honor 2024 Distinguished Educators

At the University of Pikeville (UPIKE), educators play a crucial role in inspiring and supporting students, showing steadfast dedication to their growth and success. To honor the extraordinary career commitment of educators in the region, UPIKE annually inducts individuals into its prestigious Distinguished Educators Hall of Fame.

This esteemed recognition highlights educators whose contributions have left a lasting impact on countless students and have significantly influenced the field of education. Nominated by colleagues, former students, or community members, these outstanding professionals will be honored during a special induction ceremony on Tuesday, October 1, at 6 p.m. in Booth Auditorium.

This year’s inductees include Ashley Adams of Pikeville, Melissa Davis of River, Jennifer Ellis of McCarr, Candace Fleming of Pikeville, David Gibson of Salyersville, Stephanie Hammonds of Oil Springs, Nicole Kidd of Canada, Anna Shepherd of Staffordsville, Robert Simpson of Wallins, and Bethany Thompson of Pikeville.

UPIKE encourages the campus and the community to join in celebrating education and the dedication of this year’s inductees.
