The University of Pikeville’s Coleman College of Business (CCOB) will host this semester’s Speaker and Leadership Series on Tuesday, October 15, at 10:00 a.m. on the 7th floor of the Health Professions Education Building. Dr. Jeff Crume, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Chief Technology Officer of IBM Security Americas will be the guest speaker, delivering his presentation on “Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity,” exploring how technologies are transforming higher education and the industry.
Crume has more than 40 years of experience in the IT industry and holds a Ph.D. in cybersecurity. An adjunct professor at North Carolina State University, he is also recognized as an IBM Master Inventor. In addition to writing extensively on IT security, including his book “Inside Internet Security: What Hackers Don’t Want You to Know,” Crume holds the prestigious CISSP certification. He has delivered keynote speeches at numerous global conferences and serves on the editorial board for the “Information and Computer Security” research journal. The campus and community is cordially invited to attend the October 15 event.
