As a student, KYCOM promotes an environment for you to balance curricular expectations and extracurricular activities with your personal responsibilities. KYCOM’s orientation program introduces entering students to the career-oriented student organizations and chapters that are officially recognized by the medical school.
All students are provided membership in the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA), the student branch of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Additionally, students are provided membership in the Kentucky Osteopathic Medical Association (KOMA) and the Kentucky Medical Association (KMA). Students are provided these memberships as part of the KYCOM Advantage.
